The Lower Atmosphere
Cabaret sort of night club at 88 Park Ave, in Verona, NJ called “The Lower Atmosphere”.
It was (too) well known in our town and further out. We developed new shows about every six months for a period of time and the performed them for a defined weekend. But ultimately it got scary, ’cause people were showing up that we did not know, (like cops and stuff) so it was too popular and we stopped it..
The Lower Atmosphere had a full bar and a full theatrical lighting system and (of course) a comprehensive audio system permanently locked in there (pics are here somewhere).. I can only find one one recording right now of those things and people we know/knew from back in 1978 (before you and i knew each other) but when I was director of Bio-Med Eng. at St. Barnabas Cntr. It became well known. But, a lot of people are asking for recordings of those days and I want to provide them on a wider and easier basis.
