  • Aural Finale Processors

From time to time users have requested any of the following:

    1. A system to make all tracks play at equal volume levels.
    2. A system to provide "dial presence" for radio broadcast by maximizing a tracks loudness.
    3. Something like an Aural Finalizer, Sonic Finalizer, Sonic Maximizer or CD Finalizer.

Here is our answer to that problem but for the fact that we call it the "Aural Finale Processor". It consists of a set of 4 presets for the multifilter. It includes a graphic EQ (which is set to flat for the various presets {but you can adjust it as you please - - - a limiter follows it so that you will not damage the material}).

This set of presets should be used as a last step before CD prep. It is not intended to be used earlier on in the audio restoration process.

To use this system, first determine which of the 4 Aural Finale presets best fits your musical material. Next, click on the 10 Band EQ in the Multifilter lineup and "tweek" the sound to the desired balance. When you are satisfied with the settings, Run the filter. Then, make the Destination the source and then run the Gain Normalizer found under the CD prep menu on that file.

The short answer is that the methodology can be found on page 110 of your users manual. Give it a try.
