Diamond Cut Software is perpetual (as opposed to subscription based). Major feature additions to the products feature set will be reflected by a version change number. For example, going from DCForensics10yy to DCForensics 11xx would represent a major upgrade and a charge will be associated with that upgrade. Staying current is the license owners responsibility, meaning keeping a back-up copy of the purchased installer in the event of a hard drive or other computer failure. Similarly, maintenance of serial numbers, registration codes are your responsibility. This information is found under the product's help menu, so you should print that out.or store an image of it on a back-up drive along with the installer. Extended licenses are available for some products the term of which commences on the data of the purchase.
