When possible, it is best to reduce ground loops through the safety ground pin on audio electronics. Low power (line level, low power devices often come with an external power supply (wall wart or lumpy cable). However, power amplifiers usually include a safety ground pin on their cord. When dealing with multiple power amplifiers, each having its own power cord with a ground safety pin should all be plugged into the same power outlet power strip. These steps will reduce circulating ground loop current thus reducing line frequency noise in your system. Be sure to follow local electrical codes and/or electrical sub-codes when setting up your system since safety always comes first before all else.
