If you are dealing with badly wrinkled magnetic take which will not properly transfer to your computer, consider fashioning a pressure pad from felt or cotton. By holding the tape against the head with the "pressure-pad" pressing the tape between the tape engagement mechanism and the playback head can dramatically improve the transfer by evening out the tape as it moves through the pathway.
