Stage Right, House Left

Common confusion occurs with newbies to the world of sound re-enforcement as it pertains to the physical location of the "talent" and the microphones. Stage right is house (audience) left and visa versa. Directors and producers of plays usually refer to the stage as the reference and not the house. So, if you are operating the soundboard from a sound-booth or from some other location in the audience, be aware of the difference.
