Transferring Edison Diamond Discs using a standard elliptical LP stylus

An active member of this forum reports good success transferring Edison Diamond Discs (Hill and Dale or Vertical Cut) using a standard elliptical LP stylus. For details, please contact Marc Hildebrant. The results that I have heard sound quite good.

All that I know about it is that he uses the Virtual Phono Preamp in mono mode and with it set for verticals. He also makes use of the balance galvanometer in the VPP,, but that is the extent of my knowledge on this technique.
