Can't get spectrum analyzer and volume control to stay checked and appear on start-up

Am I doing something wrong? When I check volume control and spectrum analyzer they appear, but the checkmark doesn't stay and they disappear and have to be restarted when opening DC 10.6. Am I missing how to get the checkmark to appear and for those to items to appear automatically on startup. Other items work as expected. Also, is there a way to force them to always appear on the same spot on the screen

Here is the answer from R&D:

We don’t restore those windows on startup. Never had that functionality, so it would be a new feature. (it's probably worthwhile as a small addition perhaps in the future)
