Combining files

I'm a newby with this version and just tried to combine two 24/96k mono files (left and right channels) into a stereo file. Dcart says they're mono but when I clicked Combine it says whatever file on the top tab is not mono. I did a Mono to Mono file conversion on both of them but that didn't solve the problem.

Does it work if you first convert the files to 16 bits/44.1 kHz?

Just converted these files to 16/44.1k and got the same message. Thanks for your help.

Apologies Craig. This was a bit of operator error on my part. Files combined fine at full res.
