  • chopping troubles

Hi. I'm having troubles chopping my marked file into many files. I'm trying to use the "chop file into many pieces...", under the CD-Prep, but it gets about half way through and then a window pops up announcing a system error then it closes the program. I'm not sure if this is a program problem that I'm experiencing or a problem with my personal system. Has anyone ever had this problem?

    Thanks for your feedback.

I have not heard of this specifically before, but it may be worth checking how much free disk space you have on the temp drive. How big is the file you are trying to chop?

      Re: chopping troubles

The file information is as follows:

      File size: 103844028 Bytes
      Length: 39:14.739
      Channel: mono
      Sample Rate: 22050
      Bits Per Sample: 16

What would my temp directory have to do with my ablity to chop a file?

      Thanks.

The temp drive is where the intermediate files are created for certain operation in DC Millennium. If the free space on that drive is not large enough to hold these temporary files, then the operation will fail.

If you choose to the option to preserve the original file, then more temp space will be needed to complete the chop. In this case if you had 200MB of free space if should be enough.
