  • An interesting challenge

    The earliest known existing recorded sound (ca. 1878) can be found at the website below. I have been fooling around with it a little, and believe DCArt might be used to make it more intelligible. I thought some of the users might enjoy this - sort of like an audio enthusiast's crossword puzzle.

    Sounds like a fun challenge. We should have a competition to see who can make it most intelligable - - -

        First problem - - - I was able to play the file but not download it. Anybody figure that one out? What did I miss on their site?

          Try right-clicking on the MP3 link. There should be a "Save Target As . . ." option.

            save target as ... should work - if not, I can email it to anyone who can't download it.

            Before you get started, you may want to read the whole blurb on it.. they think part of it is backwards.

            I think I hear kids talking in the background..

              Craig - The right click "SAVE TARGET AS" works fine.
