  • Granularity of slider for tape head azimuth correction

I find that the slider used to adjust for tape head azimuth alignment is too harse. would be be possible to add a very fine tune slider, as at the moment (using xy plot) run preview, stop it, change numbers by typing, run preview etc... very time consuming.

Better still could you add a tool to auto-correct azimuth. i.e. do the above automatically and run a regression analysis to get the best quality straight line at 45 deg angle...

... since finding this feature (well hidden in manual) its made a vast improvement on my demo tape restorations, it just takes a very long time to get right.

That is a good idea. We will put that on a list of things to do for a future release. Thanks.

The DC6 and Live 6 / Forensics version of the software have a "fine control" of time offset parameter. With the File Conversion Filter open, click your mouse on the time offset control slider. Then, use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to tweak it until the desired result is achieved using the X-Y plotter found under the view menu. This produces a time resolution of 10 uSec (microseconds) per click.
