Recommended Enhancements

After the Noise and Clicks have been removed from olf LPs, what are recommended enhancements for old LPs from the 5os and 60s and some in the 70s and 80s? These are southern style gospel quartets and soloists.

Please be as specific as possible because I don't feel like I have an ear and try not to depend on it too much. I can tell if something's bad but can pick out the little nuances.

Generally, the less processing the better. If you can get rid of the pops and clicks, that may be all you need. You might want to try some eq, but a lot of times the best thing is to leave the material alone.

If you have a good set of headphones, listen with them; if you don't, then make sure you listen through a decent stereo. If it sounds good, chances are you don't need much eq or other enhancements.
