Gain normalizing ?

Hi

I have and old blues CD (Otis Spann) On some tracks the volume suddenly drops for a few seconds then go back to normal. There is a sound but so low. Can I adjust something to have a minimum (and a maximum) level on a given track.

If the changes are that sudden and drastic and not intentional by the artist, I would consider applying the Dynamics processor to even out the level using either the ALC or the Compressor function. Another alternative would be the Punch and Crunch effect using one of the same two mentioned modes of operation.
