  • Phone echo

I have someone coming in with a phone interview he recorded. He said he didn't notice it during the interview but when he listened back, the interviewee had a lot of echo. He's coming in tomorrow so I can have a look at it.

I told him the chances were very slim that we could make it ready-for-prime-time, but I could have a look.

Not having heard it, I can't describe it any better. Are there any techniques you can suggest that might offer moderate success?

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi,

I would use the DSS found in the Forensics version. Set the reference channel to the same channel as the one being de-echoed and then adjust the time delay for the best cancellation.
