Description
The Roadrunners
The Vail-Deane school was a prep-school for girls located at in Elizabeth, New Jersey. As with most schools, dances were occasionally presented to the student body and so did the Vail-Deane school. The music that night was provided by a group called The Roadrunners (often associated with commercializing surf-music with their first 45 rpm release titled “Lets Go Tripping”). This dance was held in a Quonset hut attached to the rest of the school and not far from Newark Airport.
